Kerstin's journey began in the heart of Germany, in the tender days of her childhood. From an early age, she shared a deep connection with nature, an affection undoubtedly inherited from her grandparents, who cherished the outdoors as dearly as she does. Each visit to them became a new chapter of discovery, a gentle unfolding of the treasures Mother Nature bestows.
One crisp morning, she found herself wandering through a quiet forest beside her grandfather, gathering wild herbs and an array of mushrooms. Later that day, he prepared a mushroom dish unlike any she had tasted since - rich, earthy, and unforgettable. The memory of that meal is still vivid, etched not only in flavour but in the warmth of shared moments.
Heritage of Veceto
In the kitchen, her grandmother placed slices of each homegrown vegetable in her small hands to taste. She discovered the humble elegance of vegetables nearly forgotten, chicory and kohlrabi, growing in their lush garden. One such moment, a bite of raw red cabbage, was a revelation. Its pure, vibrant flavour opened a door to a new world. It was then that her interest and love for food were born. And when she looks back, the moments of her life that she remembers most are always connected to food. These early experiences laid the foundation for what would later become Veceto - a brand built on authenticity and connection. Drawing from her roots, Kerstin ensures that every vegan event catering experience is personal, soulful, and thoughtfully prepared.
To Kerstin, their garden was more than a place; it was a living, breathing table - overflowing with fruits, berries, and heirloom vegetables. Much like the garden that inspired her, Veceto infuses every dish with soul and purpose, celebrating its origins and the stories that give it life. Over the years, she worked in various positions in the hospitality industry to see things from different perspectives and thus expand her knowledge. The most important ingredients of Kerstin's life are her family, food and design. Today, Veceto stands as a reflection of that passion, offering vegan event catering that nourishes the body and connects people through beautifully crafted, plant-based cuisine.

The idea for a vegan catering company started after Kerstin experienced a life-changing incident in a restaurant. From that moment, she committed to making everything from scratch to know exactly what was in her food. After changing her nourishment, her family and friends found it difficult to cook meals that suited her and still tasted great for everyone else. So she began bringing her own gluten-free and vegan food to parties. People grew curious, asked questions, tried her dishes, and soon she was bringing larger bowls to share. Some wanted to eat healthier, others had special diets, and some were vegetarians.

Encouraged by the overwhelming praise for her food, her friends and loved ones urged her to share her creations with a wider audience. She began to think about what if someone else has the same problems dining out or being catered, but has to decide to eat gluten-free or vegan. This led her to the idea of starting a vegan catering company, one where everyone sits at the same table and enjoys the same food, no matter the reason. It should taste just as good to meat eaters as it does to vegetarians. And so, the concept of Veceto was born. With a mission that speaks for itself, Veceto grew to become not just a vegan catering company, but a movement that unites people through delicious, inclusive meals. Veceto is a name that embodies:

Over the last decades, she developed new techniques to prepare classic and new dishes without gluten and animal products to highlight the versatility of plant-based foods and has since shared her enthusiasm for them. Kerstin's European heritage and travels inspire Veceto's cuisine. Her passion for design and aesthetics shines through in the artful presentation of each dish and the creative creation of beautifully styled tables.
